The Good 1. Impressive looking house, GREAT view of Douglas Lake, gas fireplace on upper balcony is nice, so is front porch 2. Parking for at least a couple of cars/trucks 3. Bedrooms are nice and well appointed, master is great, none are bad 4. A/C works good, house has 2 zones 5. Fold out bedroom has Pac Man and a Driving Game, amongst other games 6. Washer, dryer, dish washer, oven, stove, frig work well 7. Place was clean, pretty decent furniture, including rockers and recliners 8. Gas fired water heater allows for consecutive showers without running out of hot water The Bad 1. Direct TV did not work, no way, no how. The property manager said he’d work on fixing it on the first night. Never heard from him the rest of the trip 2. DVR is old without any cables for TV, if it had HDMI, existing cable would allow one to use the TV with DVR 3. Grill is not functional. Only half the burners will maintain a flame and not well, couldn’t grill steaks on them, never went above 200F. We had to broil everything in the oven 4. Railing on upper deck has rotted spots, only problem is toddlers that can fall through, 3 stories down 5. Lamp or two cannot be turned on 6. Internet works but is very intermittent and sometimes just won’t pair and it cares where you are in the house 7. As other reviews mentioned, the house is not super well provisioned but if you plan ahead and bring your own necessities, you’ll be fine. It does have pots, pans, utensils and dinnerware, but not much else 8. The fan speed on the top floor deck are not easily adjusted or not adjustable at all because the battery in the remote is dead. One of the fans on the lower deck is missing a fan blade The Ugly 1. Has a good boat dock and a well built stair case leading down a LOOOONG hill. Worked great with kayaks but was difficult to bring them down and back up. 2. One of the rooms was locked upstairs. I was first told that it was supposed to be locked but then the property manager realized it wasn’t. He came out and worked diligently to unlock the door and was successful. Very polite while he was here. 3. Only one road to get in and out because the other road is locked with a gate and you are not provided a combination even though I believe that gate is also operated by the same property management company 4. Fire pit has a great view but not very easy to access from the house. We had one good burn

There was plenty of room everyone. The location is great. The water levels are extremely low in February. The cabin looked like no one had stayed in it for a while. There was heavy dust everywhere. I would recommend the cabin. But I would also recommend a thorough cleaning.
