We felt at home as soon as we walked in. Really enjoyed the porches. Both sitting areas inside are very comfortable. The game tables are a nice feature. Some of the doors do need to be adjusted to close properly. Mostly peaceful except for some construction noises as well as congestion getting thru the construction area. That would not stop us from staying again. Overall great experience!

I would tell anyone that wants to stay at this cabin a few things. I would stay here again BUT it appears they will be building a new cabin very close to this one that will impede your privacy. I would be sure that this was not the case before I rented again. The home is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view but another cabin next to it is going to change the whole experience. Some people are not bothered by this and in that case, RENT THIS HOME! A couple of things people should know. 1. The drive is steep and one lane in many places so if you don't do well with this you may want to reconsider. It was well worth it to me as I love a beautiful view and the privacy that is currently offered here. 2. There is construction going on here that makes the road even more challenging. I really think that the cabin owners & rental agencies should go up there and see how things are being handled. The way they are putting materials in the road is dangerous. Also, we found a button nail that apparently one of our tires drug up with us. The workers are not good about cleaning up their space and if I were an owner I would be upset. The actual work noise is not currently a bother for the cabin (Knockin on Heaven's Door) nor is it impeding the view. 3. This cabin is amazing...truly! It could use a few things that would be helpful. They should purchase and install some hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels. It would be so simple and helpful. There are basic kitchen tools etc. but they could use a few more pots and pans (particularly a stock pot). There are lots of remotes for TV's and ceiling fans but some are missing so we could never turn the fan on in the downstairs bedroom. The fans outside can be turned on with a switch but it also turns the light on. No remote for those so we could not turn the light out which drew bugs at night and the fans were still necessary. The TV on the outside patio would not connect to the internet so we couldn't watch it. Not a huge deal at all, just an FYI. Again, this cabin was beautiful and we had a very good experience with VTrips/Jackson Mountain Homes. We had a couple of small issues that were handled and the customer service reps were very helpful.

It is a very steep gravel drive up a mountain. It only sleeps ten, but advertises 12 as bedding is not provided for the sleeper sofa. There are no drapes or covering on the sliding glass doors in the bedrooms so there is no privacy especially if someone is out on the decks. Also with no drapes you will be up with the sun. The view was beautiful and it is quiet and the home was new and clean. The outdoor space by the fireplace was nice. Be sure to bring your own matches or lighter. Being a new build there were issues with doors not closing properly. There were too many remotes for the number of fans and could never get two of the fans in bedrooms to work. There were so many light switches that they need to be labeled as to what controls what.
