**The Hot Tub is currently Out of Order**

Don’t be fooled by the name of this cabin. Although it’s called African Safari, the one-bedroom, one-level log home is the essence of mountain-cabin charm. And with amenities such as a pool table, an outdoor hot tub and access to an indoor heated pool year-round, it provides plenty of luxuries as well.

African Safari is located in the Hidden Springs Resort, less than 10 minutes from Dollywood and Parrot Mountain and Gardens. Within 15 minutes, you can drive to even more attractions, including the Titanic Museum, the Cal Ripken Experience, Blake Jones Racing Center, Gatlinburg Golf Course, dinner theaters, restaurants and more. Another advantage of the resort is its indoor heated pool, where you can swim come rain, snow or shine.

When you’re not swimming in the pool or hitting the local hot spots, you’ll find plenty to enjoy in African Safari itself. The great room, for instance, includes a pool table and an electronic dartboard to get into the competitive spirit. For more laid-back entertainment, relax in one of the two recliners or stretch out on the leather sofa and watch a movie on the 32-inch TV with cable and a DVD player. In winter, the glow of the gas log fireplace makes the wood-planked floors, walls and vaulted ceiling even more inviting. In summer, the ceiling fan adds a refreshing breeze. The large wall of windows looking out toward the lush woodlands encourages daydreaming any time of year.

You can also head out to the large covered deck to revel in the sights and sounds of the setting. The deck is furnished with classic rocking chairs so you can kick back amid the breeze in timeless Smoky Mountain fashion. For a more pampering experience, gaze out at the sun-dappled trees or the star-speckled sky from the steamy bubbles of the deck’s four-person hot tub. A long soak feels especially rejuvenating after a day of hiking in the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park or skiing at Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.

The deck includes a dining table so that you can enjoy meals alfresco. After all, the fresh mountain air makes even the simplest meal seem like a feast. Of course, there’s another table for four inside as well. Likewise, in addition to a charcoal grill outside, African Safari has a fully equipped kitchen indoors. Here, you’ll find all the appliances, gadgets, cookware and tableware you need, from a full-size refrigerator to a blender to a dishwasher.

The crowning glory of African Safari is its primary suite. The perfect intimate retreat, it includes a king-size bed, a gas fireplace, a TV, a private bathroom and perhaps best of all, a jetted tub. The bedroom also opens onto the deck, so you can savor a nightcap in the silvery moonlight before indulging in a restorative soak before nestling under the covers. Even if you don’t turn on the fireplace, romance will no doubt be in the air!

If you have additional guests staying with you, the sofa in the great room accommodates two, and there’s a full bathroom nearby for added convenience!

You can pack light when you stay at African Safari. We’ll provide all the clean towels and linens you could possibly need. In fact, the king-size bed will be impeccably made up by the time you arrive, so you can sprawl out for a nap before you even unpack. What’s more, the cabin has its own washer and dryer. For once you can return from vacation without immediately having to do laundry!

The living is easy at African Safari—and isn’t that what a vacation is all about? So book your stay today. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Everything is so outdated, or simply did not work. For the amount it costs per night to stay here, there is no reason to not update something with every visitor. I have a video for reference, but the recliner is probably 20 plus years old. The couch close to that. Dartboard on its last leg. Radio no batteries and cord that didn't go with it. TV 50 years old. Terrible cooking utensils, pots and pans. Hot tub out of order but was told by matinence man a blow up one was supposed to have been there as a replacement. I would not stay here again nor recommend anyone to stay. Not for the amount of money and the lack of upkeep.

This location and facility is quaint and cute. The one regret is that it seems it hasn’t been maintained as well as it should. They were honest in the listing that the hot tub was non-functioning but they didn’t say that the jets in the indoor jacuzzi were also broken. The cable was a little hard to operate ( instructions near the TVs would have been helpful). And FYI on my last day in the home there were some dead and dying wasps or bees. One crawl into my dirty clothes and I stepped on it and was stung. I’m not sure I can really blame that on the facility because it is a cabin in the mountains and this could happen , but I’m only stating it so that the property owner is aware that there may be a problem and they can check it out before the next renter arrives. Overall the place was beautiful, clean and cozy and affordable compared to its neighbors
