Veterans Day Celebration
Gatlinburg's 24th Annual Veterans Day Celebration
Gatlinburg will host its 24th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies Plaza, starting at 11 a.m. This community event will honor the bravery and sacrifices of our military veterans and their families.
The ceremony will feature musical performances by the Gatlinburg-Pittman High School Band and Chorus, and Hannah Sloas will sing the Star-Spangled Banner. American Legion Post 202 and Girl Scout Troop 20648 will provide special presentations. Retired Gatlinburg Police Captain and Vietnam Veteran Jim Maples will present the POW-MIA Table and Invocation. Sherrie McGhee will recognize Gold and Blue Star Families, and the American Eagle Foundation will feature a special presentation with Challenger, the Bald Eagle. A Quilt of Valor Presentation is also planned.
The celebration is free and open to the public.
