Free Tennessee Fishing in June!

Every June, Tennessee State Parks presents two opportunities for license-free fishing. Free Fishing Day, held on the Saturday of the first full week in June, welcomes participants of all ages. Following Free Fishing Day is Free Fishing Week, exclusively available to children aged 15 and younger.

While all Tennessee public waters and agency-owned lakes are accessible, this occasion is ideal for exploring the scenic bodies of water in and around the Smoky Mountains, renowned for their wild trout and fly fishing. For those who cherish the natural wonders of East Tennessee, it's essential to stay informed about fishing's best practices and regulations
