The 2-story cabin itself is the ideal marriage of rustic charm and 5-star luxury. The hardwood floors, wood-planked walls, beamed ceilings, and log-style furnishings are just what you’d expect from a mountain hideaway. The same is true of the 2 covered decks, which span the width of the home. As you kick back on the deck rocking chairs, listening to wrens and warblers while the fresh breeze rustles through the trees, you’ll feel at one with nature. You can also revel in the natural beauty while soaking in the upper deck’s hot tub. It’s especially magical at night: Lazing among the steamy bubbles as you gaze up at the star-studded sky is an experience you’ll long treasure.

More luxuries can be found inside Secret Romance. The upstairs game room, for instance, includes a regulation-size pool table, foosball table, and Arcade, along with a flat-panel TV. The upstairs bathroom has a jetted tub with a view nearly as stunning as that of the outdoor hot tub. The great room’s sofa converts into a queen-size bed as well, so that Secret Romance can sleep 8 people in all.

Though given all there is to see and do nearby, sleep might not be a top priority. Secret Romance is less than a mile from the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and shops. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only a 15-minute drive away; there you can hike among waterfalls, fish for trout (perfect for cooking on the outdoor grill!), go biking or horseback riding… why you could easily spend every day exploring the park! If you did, though, you’d be missing out on the amusements of downtown Gatlinburg, which range from mini golf and thrill rides to an aquarium and the Guinness World Records Museum.
