Hickory Hollow Lodge
Where you'll be
Description
First, let’s take a look at those bedrooms! Each includes a large flat-screen TV, rustic yet refined furnishings and a private bathroom. What’s more, each bathroom features a shower as well as a Jacuzzi. After a day spent hiking, biking or keeping up with the kids at Dollywood, you’ll relish a restorative soak among the massaging jets of water.
Seven of the eight bedrooms feature a luxurious king-size bed. The eighth bedroom has queen-size bunk beds, enabling it to accommodate four people. The kids will love it! Three of the sofas throughout Hickory Hollow Lodge open into beds for two, and there’s a half-bathroom for added convenience. Speaking of convenience, the cabin has its own washer and dryer as well.
While the bedrooms serve as restful retreats for always-welcome private time, the lodge’s other rooms are large enough for everyone to spend time together. Take the main floor great room, where large windows let in plenty of sunshine, accentuating the luster of the wood-planked walls, floor and cathedral ceiling. You can nestle on the sectional sofa and watch TV, enjoy après-ski drinks by the fireplace and sprawl out on the rug with the kids for a game of Candyland. This welcoming space was made for kicking back and hanging out.
The great room also encompasses the dining area. With two large tables and a breakfast bar, the dining area can seat a crowd—no need to eat in shifts. The adjacent kitchen is equipped with a full complement of stainless-steel appliances, cookware and tableware. Even if you eat your main meals at one of the numerous local restaurants, you’ll still love the convenience of having a coffee maker for your morning wake-me-up and a refrigerator to keep wine and soft drinks cold.
The downstairs family room is another spacious and comfortable gathering spot. It’s home to a huge flat-screen TV and four luxuriously comfortable roll-arm sofas where everyone can kick back to watch a favorite movie or the big game. For those who prefer playing to watching, there’s a full-size pool table as well as a pub-style table just the right size for hosting a poker night or a Monopoly marathon. Adding to the warm, welcoming ambiance is a second fireplace.
Hickory Hollow Lodge sits among the towering trees of Wears Valley, also known as the quiet side of the Smokies. Its two covered rear decks, which span the width of the home, allow everyone to revel in the crisp mountain breeze, the singing of wrens and warblers during the day, and the tranquility of the star-studded sky at night. Bring a beverage outside, sit back in a rocker, and take a deep breath. Relaxation is practically guaranteed. Another option is to admire the views from the steamy bubbles of the upper deck’s hot tub.
As idyllic as Hickory Hollow Lodge is, you’ll probably want to explore at least some of the local attractions during your visit. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is less than a 10-minute drive away. Wears Valley Zipline Adventures and Goats on the Roof, a general store and restaurant with a mountain coaster and live goats, are just 15 minutes away. And in less than a half-hour, you can drive to numerous attractions along the Pigeon Forge Parkway, including the Titanic Museum, Alcatraz East and Dolly Parton’s Stampede.
When you stay at Hickory Hollow Lodge, you’re certain to make memories that will last a lifetime. Book your reservation today. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

The cabin was spacious and allowed our entire family to stay at one place. The cabin layout was nice and we loved the location. We saw bears a couple of times while we were there. The property was relatively clean but not immaculate. There were plenty of plates, utensils, and kitchen appliances for what we needed. Each bedroom has its own bath with jetted tub which was really nice for our group. On the downside, the refrigerator leaked water on the floor and judging from the floor had done so for a while (I believe we may have fixed this while we were there). Two of the jetted tubs didn\'t work and the main room lights mysteriously quit working on our last night. Other than those minor issues, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again if we are ever out that way.

The cabin itself is amazing. I was just a little disappointed on how little is provided (dishwasher detergent, coffee, paper towels, trash bags, even towels) for such large parties. There were 15 of us and we had to go out and make purchases that I'm not used to making while staying in a Jackson Mountain Home property.

Nice cabin with plenty of room for all of our family. We really enjoyed our time there and actually saw bears from the balcony on 2 different days while we were there.
